About Us
Industrial Telemetry Inc. has its roots in another company owned by one of our principals, which began in 1995. However ITI was incorporated in early 2005 as a Delaware corporation with corporate offices and factory at 1006 W. Main St. Collinsville, Ok 74021, a suburb of Tulsa. The company is privately held as a joint venture with a much larger US based, international corporation.
The primary goal of ITI is to bring a patented MESH radio telemetry technology into the worlds of Industry, Water and WasteWater, and Compost. We call our radios REALMESH™ to distinguish them from vendors who use a pseudo MESH topology, but whose radios do NOT have integral repeating function.
Since MESH radios are transceivers and repeaters in the same device, the deployment of these radios form a “network” where they are deployed. The result of this network is that each radio helps each other radio in proximity “get the signal through”.
In 2004, ITI’s predecessor company was the first in the world to bring MESH radios into the compost marketplace with the introduction of the BioMESH™ product line. BioMESH probes are fitted either with temperature or moisture sensors suitable for direct contact with, and immersion in, compost. As the MESH radio network is formed, the automatic temperatures and moisture readings are relayed to the base station. The base station hosts the server where other MESH radios can be instructed to turn fans on and off. Since the MESH radios attached to fans are directly wired to line power, they are always available for MESH transmissions. Because the probe radios run on batteries, the user can “sleep” the radios until such time as a reading is necessary. The radios wake up on schedule and are polled automatically for their readings.
In 2005, ITI introduced a patent pending board suitable for OEM on integrator purposes. The board called the SCADAMESH™ 424. Named for the SCADAMESH product line, of which it is a part, the board can be built with a PLC on a chip, a processor and memory, and fitted with a REALMESH radio. It supports 4 Analog In, 2 Analog Out, and 4 Digital In or Out scenarios. Other versions of the board can be built up to and 848 combination.
The strength of the SCADAMESH line is that because of the components on the board and the IO Mapping software we have developed, SCADAMESH is nicknamed “SCADAless scada” because the system can operate without the support of a legacy SCADA system if desired. If integration with existing SCADA is desired, all that is required is connecting a REALMESH radio base station’s server to the legacy SCADA system. SCADAMESH is designed to packetize any existing protocol before transmitting a packet to its destination where it is depacketized and returned to its original protocol. |
